Cary Ransome

Biography

Cary joined Prospera as Chief Member Experience Officer in May 2022. He supports the credit union’s Catalyst strategy and is integral in helping optimize the member experience at Prospera. To ensure strong collaboration and an aligned approach to advancing strategic objectives, all lines of business report directly to Cary.

Cary has more than 30 years of broad leadership experience in the Canadian financial services industry. His most recent role was as Chief Retail and Operating Officer at Innovation Credit Union in Saskatoon. Cary also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Conexus Credit Union in Regina, Senior Vice President of Retail Banking at Servus Credit Union in Edmonton, and VP of Superior North District (Ontario) at TD Bank.

Cary has an MBA from Athabasca University and holds the CFP, PFP and ICD.D designations. Cary is also a graduate of the Queens University Leadership program.

Cary is active within the credit union system sitting on the board of Wyth (formerly Concentra) while also working with the Large Credit Union Coalition ‘Operations’ group.

Supporting community is an area near and dear to Cary’s heart, always being very active in the communities where he and his family have lived and served. In Saskatoon, Cary sits on the board of Ronald McDonald House, while also playing an active role with the local food bank.
