Cary Ransome

Biography

Cary joined Prospera Credit Union as the Chief Member Experience Officer in May 2022. In this position, he plays a key leadership role in driving Prospera’s strategy and enhancing the overall member experience. To ensure alignment and collaboration across the organization, all lines of business report directly to him.

With more than 30 years of leadership experience in the Canadian financial services industry, Cary brings deep expertise and a proven track record of driving results. Before joining Prospera, he served as Chief Retail and Operating Officer at Innovation Credit Union in Saskatoon. His past leadership roles also include Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Conexus Credit Union in Regina, Senior Vice President of Retail Banking at Servus Credit Union in Edmonton, and Vice President of the Superior North District (Ontario) at TD Bank.

A strong advocate for continuous learning, Cary holds an MBA from Athabasca University and has earned the CFP, PFP and ICD.D designations. He’s also a graduate of the leadership program at Queen’s University.

Cary is an active contributor to the credit union system, having served on the board of Wyth Financial (formerly Concentra Bank) and participating in the Large Credit Union Coalition’s operations group.

Deeply committed to community, Cary has always contributed to the places he and his family have called home. He currently serves on the boards of the University of the Fraser Valley and Ledgeview Golf Club in Abbotsford. His previous community involvement includes serving on the board of Ronald McDonald House – Saskatchewan and as Vice-Chair of the Regina Food Bank.
