New Autodeposit and Request Money Features

Abbotsford, BC, December 18, 2018:
Interac e-Transfer gives you the freedom to send and receive money quickly and securely - using a computer and/or mobile phone. With new features like Autodeposit and Request Money, Interac e-Transfer is now the best way to send, receive and request money from anyone with a bank account in Canada.

With Autodeposit, you will no longer need to log in to online banking or answer any security questions. After registering and confirming your email address, anytime someone sends you money, the funds will automatically deposit into your account. This feature is available to our members (both retail and small businesses) through online banking and our mobile app and is great for people with regular recurring payments from the same sender. Autodeposit saves you the time of having to enter security info multiple times.

Setting it up is simple

  • Log in to your online banking or mobile banking app
  • Navigate to Autodeposit
  • Register your email address
  • Confirm your registration

Request Money
Request Money is a fast and convenient way to send a friendly reminder to your friends, family members, or business clients for the money they owe you in just a few steps. . For senders, there is added convenience of not needing to convey security answers while continuing to have the security of knowing who is receiving the funds, prior to sending.

Sending a request is easy

  • Log in to your online banking or mobile banking app
  • Navigate to Request Interac e-Transfer
  • Select the contact you would like to request money from and follow the instructions
  • Add an invoice number and due date for the request (optional)
  • Once the recipient fulfills your request, the money will automatically deposit into your account and you will be notified
