Shawn Good, MBA, ICD.D
President and Chief Executive Officer

As President and Chief Executive Officer of Prospera Credit Union, Shawn Good leads the strategic direction of British Columbia’s fourth largest credit union guided by a mission to attain financial well-being and sustainability for the credit union, its members, employees and the communities they serve. Shawn joined Prospera in 2015 from Conexus Credit Union in Saskatchewan where he was Executive Vice President of Governance and Strategy, responsible for directing corporate strategy and planning, governance, corporate policy and legal, the project management office and corporate social responsibility. A leader dedicated to innovation, Shawn has an extensive background spanning more than 20 years within the credit union industry and has been recognized nationally for his accomplishments. An entrepreneur as well as an innovator, Shawn was a founding partner of a real estate development group of companies operating in South America and a start-up within the dental industry in Canada as well as a management consultant. Committed to continuous learning and development, Shawn holds an MBA from Queen’s University and received his ICD.D for corporate governance from the Rotman School of Business. He has previously attended the Banff Leadership Centre, Queen’s Executive Program and completed the Leader as a Coach program. He has served on numerous boards including the University of Fraser Valley board of directors.

Diane Dou, MBA
Chief Operating Officer

Diane Dou is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Prospera Credit Union and is a forward-thinking, courageous senior leader with extensive experience in all aspects of financial services distribution. Prior to joining Prospera, Diane was the COO and Country Head of Business Performance for Retail Banking and Wealth Management for HSBC Canada.

Diane joined Prospera in June 2016 and through her innovative leadership, she helped to transform Prospera’s member value proposition and align Prospera’s business operating model to the newly refined proposition.

Diane obtained her MBA from Simon Fraser University in 2007 and her ICD.D designation in 2018. Diane currently serves as a Director on the CUMIS Wealth Management Holding (AVISO Holding) Board and on the Hong Kong-Canada Business Association Board. She was one of two public directors on the Board of Directors for the BC Real Estate Association and has served on multiple boards in the health care and technology industries. In October 2015, the Canadian Board Diversity Council named Diane as one of its “2015 Canadian Diversity 50.”

 

Michael Kerdachi, CPA, CGA
Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Michael is responsible for overseeing the Finance, Credit, and Risk Departments. He provides leadership, financial oversight, and strategic expertise for Prospera Credit Union, and plays a key role in helping position Prospera for success by long term planning; managing risk; and maintaining liquidity of all Prospera assets. Michael supports the CEO and Senior Leadership Team by providing critical insight, analysis and ensuring all decisions are well-grounded in solid financial principles. Michael has executive oversight for all financial management including budgeting, financial reporting, treasury, credit and enterprise risk management. He is responsible for ensuring organizational compliance with regulatory requirements imposed by all federal and provincial laws and regulations. Michael has 15 years of senior executive experience and his previous roles at Prospera include both VP Treasury and VP Finance. His credit union career began in Treasury at Prospera, later joining the finance and analytics teams. Prior to joining Prospera, he spent seven years in the Province of British Columbia’s Finance Department and a year with the financial regulator, FICOM. Originally from South Africa, Michael is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CGA).

 

Greg Dyck
Chief Information Officer

As a key member of Prospera’s Senior Leadership Team, Greg is a progressive and transformative technology leader with over 20 years of executive experience. He currently leads the Information Technology, Innovation, Procurement and Facilities functions, the Enterprise Project Management Office as well as Prospera’s Digital Strategy. Greg is an influential senior leader in the Credit Union system, and a very connected and respected technology leader in the IT industry. Through his passion for technology and innovation leadership he has led Prospera through many technological innovations and “firsts” in the financial services industry and Credit Union system. Contributing to Prospera’s transformation and growth, he has been a strategic partner, bridging the digital and physical delivery of Prospera’s compelling value proposition by leveraging technology and innovation.

Greg is committed to personal learning and growth, continuously challenging himself and others to achieve their best. In 2014 he obtained his Advanced Executive Certificate from the Queens University Executive program. He has served on numerous committees and boards within the Credit Union system including the CEO Payments Governance committee. He currently represents Prospera as a member of the Large Credit Union Coalition (LCUC) CIO group, serves as a member of the City of Abbotsford’s Community Innovation Partnership, is a member of the Conference Board of Canada CIO Council and is board chair of the Co-operative EFT Development Association (CEDA).

 

Angela Champ, MBA
Senior Vice President, People & Culture

Angela Champ joined Prospera in 2018 and brings with her over 20 years of leadership experience in various industries including banking, insurance, oil & gas, and engineering. A transformative business leader, Angela is adept at developing and implementing programs and policies that enable businesses to grow and profit. Having earned a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation in 2006, she approaches her work in a collaborative and consultative fashion. Angela’s work in the Human Resources field includes helping organizations elevate the human resources function from the transactional to the strategic, resulting in positive and measurable business outcomes such as lower turnover, lower absenteeism, higher engagement, and higher productivity.

Passionate about lifelong learning and inspiring others to achieve their best potential, Angela is a sought-after speaker for conferences and a frequent guest lecturer at universities and colleges. She has served on the Board of Directors for Cor Departure Theatre Company, Women Building Futures, and Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta. Angela obtained her undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of British Columbia, a Diploma in Adult Education, and an MBA from Royal Roads University. She is a published author of a book for HR professionals.
